I graduated from Alexander High School in Douglasville, Georgia in 1988. I went on to attend Jacksonville State University where I earned my Bachelor's and Master's degrees with a dual certification in Early Childhood and Elementary Education.

I have been teaching for 17+ years now. I have been a Montessori teacher in Chattanooga, Tennessee. I have been a substitute and a resource teacher in Piedmont, Alabama. I taught Non-Categorical Preschool in Buras, Louisiana. I taught 2 years of Kindergarten, and 13 years of 2nd grade in Douglasville, Georgia. I now have been teaching Pre-K in Huntsville since January, 2012.

I am married to my wonderful husband, Steve Molmer, a Senior Associate Engineer in Electrical Design for PPG Aerospace. I have three great kids, too. Miranda is in 8th grade at Buckhorn Middle. Katie is in 6th grade at Riverton Intermediate, and Kees is in 5th grade, also at Riverton. We have a cat, 7 dogs, and two turtles!
